Here are a few words from Heather about this fundraiser:

Two and a half years ago, my life changed dramatically when I became permanently disabled and unable to work. Since then, I have depended on my computer and my car to survive. Both are now failing, and while I manage to get by with day-to-day expenses, I have no way to cover the cost of replacing my computer or repairing my car.

Having a working vehicle is essential for me to get to doctor appointments, buy groceries, and see my family. My computer is just as important—it allows me to earn money for monthly bills, participate in online therapy, and stay connected with the online support community I have been part of for five years. One of the few things that has consistently brought me joy and helped me stay socially engaged has been playing Minecraft. I am known as BiscuitMaker and have made lifelong friendships through the game, contributing to the community by doing custom builds for events. Without these tools, my independence and well-being are at risk.

I deeply appreciate anyone taking the time to read my story. I know there are so many people struggling in our world, and I do my best to be of service as I am able. Right now, I am fighting to get disability benefits and searching for new doctors to replace the medical team I had before. I am also working hard to stay involved with online support and social communities and to contribute where I can.
