With us steadily approaching a year of Cupburger existing we thought it was a worthwhile exercise to look back over the past year at what has been achieved.
We have managed to pay out £11,689.62 over 75 individual grants or project payments. Those are funds that have helped with unseen emergencies, medical expenses, car issues, loads of different things. Where people have had a need we have regularly been able to provide assistance, no matter the type of issue.
After a few months we launched Projects, a way in which we could support people with bigger monetary needs while still being sustainable and ensuring cupburger could support as many as possible. Since then we have completed 3 projects to a total of £13,060! Even now we have 2 active projects, which have combined £16,515 so far. That means Cupburger supported projects in total have raised £29,515! Nearly 30k! We are not silly enough to think all of that money has come from us, and a big chunk will have come from outside our community but it’s exciting to see projects we’ve partnered with have such success. All of this community banding together and believing in this cause, donating when able and helping to get the word out alongside us, has no doubt helped fulfill so much need that otherwise may have gone unmet.
As we approach this one year anniversary we are endeavouring to continue to grow and improve and extend a hand to as many as we can. This has really shown to us, and hopefully you reading, how powerful a community can be when they actively look out for one another.
We have a large push coming up shortly for funds. We only want to ask for what you’re able to give. Times are tough for everyone currently and we would never ask anyone to give beyond their means. Give when you can, take when you need. We hope when you are able you’ll continue to monetarily support us. We hope until then you will champion us however you can. We will do all we can for you.
Mack, care of the Cupburger Team.
