The Cupburger Mutual Aid Fund
We are a community of streamers, musicians, gamers, and friends who’ve come together to take care of each other. Some of us have more than we need. Some of us are navigating real hardship. The Cupburger Mutual Aid Fund exists to redistribute resources within our community: quickly, directly, and without strings, so the people we care about can get the support they deserve.
We believe in mutual aid, not charity. That means we don’t rely on broken systems to decide who gets help. Many of us are members of marginalized groups, disabled, trans, BIPOC, working-class, or impacted by state violence, and we know that institutional support is often inaccessible or harmful. So we’re building the safety net we need, together.
Cupburger is guided by radical principles. We are actively opposed to white supremacy, wealth hoarding, and all systems of exploitation. This fund isn’t about saviors, it’s about solidarity, self-determination, and collective care.
We’re working with a fiscal sponsor to ensure financial accountability, privacy protection, and clear community agreements. Cupburger is a grassroots effort built on intentional action, transparent process, and shared responsibility.

Why a Mutual Aid Fund?
Mutual aid is about solidarity, not charity. It’s a form of collective care rooted in the belief that people should have what they need simply because they’re alive. In contrast to capitalist systems that demand proof of worthiness, productivity, or suffering, mutual aid recognizes that scarcity is manufactured, and that communities can meet their own needs when resources are shared freely. At Cupburger, we intentionally don’t means-test or monitor how recipients use the fund. We trust that people know what they need better than any institution does. Our goal is not control, it’s liberation from systems that treat basic survival as a thing to be earned.
